Regional Forums
Navigating Community Change Together

In 2005, Texans Standing Tall was the recipient of a Drug-Free Communities federal matching grant by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) as part of a nationwide award to community coalitions across the country to prevent youth drug use. The goal of the grant is to assist coalitions in working together to prevent and reduce alcohol, tobacco, and other drug use among youth.

Since 2006, TST has utilized this grant and collaboration with partners across the state to provide Regional Forums across Texas. This premier event is an opportunity to further support our coalition members, bring state level and local prevention advocates to the table for creating community change, and build on the strength of our statewide coalition. Participants can expect to be equipped with tools, information, and resources to help prevent youth substance abuse by creating community change.
