2009 Regional Forums

Making alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs irrelevant in the lives of youth

Texans Standing Tall is collaborating with community coalitions and organizations across the state to hold Regional Forums. The Forums, our premier annual events, focus on preventing youth substance abuse by creating healthier and safer communities.

Texans Standing Tall is excited to be able to host these events every year. This year, we are focusing on ensuring that Regional Forums are sustainable for years to come. To aid us in reaching our goal of sustaining the Regional Forums, there will be a $25 charge to attend.

Regional Forum participants will be equipped with tools, information and resources for creating community change to prevent youth substance use. Participants will be provided resource materials, and continental breakfast, lunch, and an afternoon snack.

New to the Forums - This year Texans Standing Tall is partnering with Youth Partnership for Change, a program of YouthLaunch, to host a Student Track at four of the Regional Forums. This will be an opportunity for high school and college students to get involved in preventing youth substance use by partnering with local coalitions to implement environmental strategies.
